You only need to take one look at our fully reconditioned Holley carbs to know why we are the leading carb reconditioners in Australia.

After years of experience reconditioning Holley Carburettors, the main aspect that sets a Pro Action rebuilt Holley Carb apart from any other reconditioned carb, is the fact that we fully machine all carburettor bodies on each face, assuring each face is 100% flat before rebuilding.

Below is the reconditioning process that all of our holley carbs are put through before sale.

:: Step 001

Each carburettor goes through a set process, beginning with the carburettor being completely stripped and checked for any major problems. Once the carb is in pieces the body is stripped of all its grease and grime before being sandblasted ready for machining.
The top left image shows a carb body that is ready to begin the reconditioning process.

The bottom left image shows a carb body that has been sandblasted and checked for cracks, and is now ready to be machined.
:: Step 002

Once the body is thoroughly checked for any cracks or other imperfections it is then ready to be machined on a hi-tech milling machine that assures ultimate perfection. [Other reconditioned carburettors are usually machined using a belt sander which often leaves the surface uneven, allowing for air & fuel leaks.]

Each face of the body is machined making sure all surfaces are 100% flat.
:: The Machining Process

If you've ever pulled apart your Holley Carb and found that the back of the power valve has incurred a slight dent, this is because the power valve itself has actually bottomed out against the Boss of the carb. In turn, this can often create a fuel leak and warpage to the metering block.

For this reason every carb that goes through our reconditioning process has the boss machined for appropriate clearance.

Often after years of over tightening of the fuel bowl bolts, or previous machining using a file or belt sander, the body surfaces of a Holley Carb can be heavily warped.

The image to the left shows the face of a Holley Carb being machined. The image below shows just how immaculate the carb surface is once being properly machined.

The machining process is then finished off by using a drill press to de-burr the holes of the body.

Once this is finished the machining proccess is complete and the carb is then ready to be re-coloured.

:: Step 003

To achieve this rich original colour the carburettor goes through a series of different acids, as well as a unique colouring solution that is specifically created and used only by Pro Action Performance.

The carburettor to the left is an example of a carb body that has been through the reconditioning process and is now ready to be rebuilt.
